Each year, the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce First XV Young Professionals Networking Group (the First XV), holds a fundraising event to support a local charity or community organisation.
This year, the recipient of this generosity will be Kids In Need Waikato. Started by Cambridge woman Linda Roil, Kids In Need Waikato was founded in 2017 to help kids with little or no belongings, especially those coming into emergency or longer-term foster care.
The First XV are hosting a special private screening of the new film Mission Impossible: Fallout at Tivoli Cinema on Tuesday 28 August. Tickets are $20 per person and the movie starts at 8pm, following a mix and mingle at 7pm.
$10 from each ticket will be donated to Kids In Need Waikato. Movie-goers can also bring along items the kids need:
- new underwear
- new or good condition backpacks/school bags
- LEGO
- track pants/tops
- colouring books/pens.
Tickets are available from Cambridge Foot Clinic, which is also accepting items for donation from those who can’t attend the movie.
The First XV is hoping to raise around $500 for Kids In Need Waikato.
