Introducing Kelly

Meet the new CEO

The new CEO of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is Kelly Bouzaid.

With almost 270 members which includes multiple groups such as Love Cambridge, Optimum and the First XV Young Professionals Group, President Phil Mackay said they are thrilled to welcome Kelly.

“She joins us at an exciting time and comes to an organisation that’s in great shape,” he said.

“Outgoing CEO Tania Witheford has seen the Chamber through substantial change and growth and formed strong relationships and partnerships. Kelly has the opportunity to build on this foundation and take Chamber in a fresh direction, as we continue to provide leadership and support for our business community.”

Extremely adept in the field of business, Kelly has had extensive experience across a myriad of environs; national sales manager for several high-profile companies, general manager for Touchdown Productions, sales and marketing manager of Gulf News and the owner and operator of Waiheke’s iconic Schooner Café.

“We are loving life in Cambridge that offers some wonderful similarities to the island. There are a lot of owner/operated businesses, a friendly town vibe and incredible local artisan producers” said Kelly. “I have enjoyed some fantastic service from local business and I am proud to continue the Chamber’s goal of improving business vibrancy”.

Alongside the diverse range of skills she will bring to the role, Kelly has also led and developed high performing teams and guided prominent companies through times of organisational change and crisis management.

“Cambridge ticked all the boxes for my family, education, equine, employment and lifestyle opportunities. We have just celebrated a year here and we look forward to many more.

The Chamber of Commerce makes a real difference within our businesses community and I am keen to develop cohesive strategies and deliverables making the difference that matters amongst a fast paced and changing environment”.

Current Cambridge Chamber of Commerce CEO Tania Witheford said Kelly’s positive energy is just what the Chamber needs.

“Kelly is joining the Chamber at a time of continued growth and where there is significant opportunity for Cambridge and the region, bringing fresh eyes and fresh thinking,” she said.
