"During the Covid-19 Alert Level 4 lockdown, we found ourselves as a business, in a position of concern, uncertainty and facing potential devastation with some similarities to the GFC. With that experience and some incredibly valuable lessons, we understood quickly that we had to move into a position of strength and batten down the hatches so to speak. We set about planning for Business Continuity which encompassed business planning, cashflow projections, business scenario planning, financial support planning, redundancies and keeping up to date with the economic
landscape daily. We partnered and worked closely with our accountants, bank managers and sought information from organisations who we deemed ashaving up to date economic information that we could rely on.
TheCambridge Chamber of Commerce are one of those organisations. From HR & Financial advice to regular newsletters and online links to local businesses, the Chamber quickly became a one-stop shop for great business advice and tools during Covid-19. The continued support for local business and the ability to pull the business community together, gives the Cambridge Chamber an edge that is needed when looking to reduce costs in a business. For us, that means that we will continue to be members and enjoy the many benefits that is afforded to us by the Chamber.
I have not experienced such a leader of a Chamber such as Kelly Bouzaid, who is determined to provide all businesses in Cambridge and Waipa, with tools to keep them trading. The collaboration
between business, local government and central government funded organisations to provide high level knowledge and tools to our business community, has been very well put together by the Chamber.
